AC2 requires a key. I also bought AC Brotherhood separately, and for your information, Brotherhood requires UPlay registration. Anyway, the games work perfectly, and I love the AC series. AC1 runs beautifully on PC, though I have to complain about the controls. AC2 is much better visually, and the controls are vastly improved, but the story is much shorter and less interesting. That said, it is still a great story, and you will love the "bleeding effect" they introduce. If you have played AC1, AC2 is a great sequel. You should continue playing the AC games. If you have not played AC1, it will try your patience, but it is a brilliant game, and the sequels further define the gameplay. Sure, I'm behind the curve by a few years now, but it comes with a nice prize; my computer runs these games smooth as butter! Everything looks amazing; no stuttering, no slow framerates, no real bugs to complain about. My XBox 360 controller is perfect to play these games on my computer. I read a lot of complaints about the ports and how awful they were before I decided to try them anyway. I'm very glad that I did. My old computer from back when these came out probably would have choked on the graphics. That's not a problem with the game, however; it's a problem with the system. Folks complain about the DRM, but it doesn't bother me a bit. If you're on the fence...just look at the price! It's a no-brainer for an awesome experience! |
